Report Illegal Content
Luvo is operated by Elvar Systems Ltd (“we”, “us”), registered in the United Kingdom. This page is our notice-and-action mechanism under Article 16 of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). Anyone — whether or not they use Luvo — can use it to tell us about content on Luvo they believe is illegal.
1. How to submit a notice
Email contact@elvarsystems.co.uk with “Illegal content report” in the subject line. To help us act quickly and accurately, please include:
a. an explanation of why you consider the content to be illegal;
b. a clear indication of the exact location of the content — for example, the trip, the message, and any identifier or screenshot that lets us find it;
c. your name and email address (you may omit these if the report concerns suspected child sexual abuse material or certain other offences); and
d. a statement confirming your good-faith belief that the information in your notice is accurate and complete.
2. What happens next
We send an acknowledgement to the email address you provide, confirming we have received your notice. We then review the reported content without undue delay, in a diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner.
If we decide to act, we may remove or disable access to the content, restrict its visibility, or suspend or terminate the account responsible. We notify both you (the reporter) and, where we have their contact details, the user who posted the content of our decision, together with a statement of reasons and information about how to appeal it. If we decide the content is not illegal and take no action, we tell you that too.
3. Appeals
If you are the affected user and you believe our decision was wrong, you can challenge it by replying to the decision email. We will review the appeal and respond. You may also have the right to use an out-of-court dispute settlement body or to pursue a judicial remedy.
4. Misuse
Repeatedly submitting notices that are manifestly unfounded may lead us to suspend, for a reasonable period and after a prior warning, the processing of further notices from you.
5. Single Point of Contact
Under Articles 11 and 12 of the DSA, our designated electronic point of contact for both authorities and recipients of the service is published below. Communications may be in English.
Single Point of Contact: Elvar Systems Ltd (Trust & Safety)
Electronic contact: contact@elvarsystems.co.uk
6. Other reporting routes
You can also report individual chat messages inside the Luvo app by long-pressing a message and tapping “Report”. For content that breaches our community rules but is not necessarily illegal, see our Acceptable Use Policy.
