Basics
What is Luvo?
Luvo is a collaborative trip-planning app for groups. Plan destinations together, vote on proposals, chat with your group, and see real-time activity updates — all in one place.
How do I create a trip?
From the home screen, tap the + button. Enter a trip name, select a date range, add destinations to vote on, then invite your group members. Once they join, everyone can vote and chat.
Can I use Luvo offline?
Luvo requires an internet connection to sync with your group. Some features (like viewing cached trip data) may work briefly offline, but voting, chatting, and inviting require a live connection.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
Trips and groups
How many people can join a trip?
There’s no hard limit, but Luvo works best with groups of 2–20 people. Larger groups may experience slower chat and voting.
Can I create a trip for just myself?
Yes. Solo trips are useful for personal travel planning. You can invite people later or keep it private.
What happens if someone deletes their account?
When a member deletes their account, their personal data is removed. Content they shared with a trip that still has active members is kept but anonymised — their name is replaced with “Former member” — so the trip stays usable for everyone else. See our Delete your account page for the full detail.
Voting and planning
How does voting work?
Each group member can vote for destination proposals. Votes are tallied in real-time. You can see a full breakdown on the trip’s Results page. The trip organiser (who created the trip) decides which destination is ultimately chosen.
Can I change my vote?
Yes. Tap your vote on a destination to change it, or remove it by tapping again.
Social and chat
Who can see my messages?
Only members of the trip you’re chatting in can see your messages. Messages are not visible outside the trip.
Can I delete a message I sent?
Yes. Long-press the message and tap “Delete”. The message will be removed from everyone’s view.
What if someone is harassing me?
Long-press one of their chat messages to block or report them. Blocking hides that person’s messages and reactions from you in the chat (they aren’t notified); reporting sends the message to our team. We’ll review reports and take action where appropriate. Read our Acceptable Use Policy for the rules that apply.
Pricing
Is Luvo free?
Yes — Luvo is free to download, and core trip planning, group voting, and shared itineraries are included at no cost.
What is Luvo Plus?
Luvo Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks premium features such as unlimited AI trip planning and price-drop alerts. You can subscribe from Profile → Luvo Plus in the app; current pricing and any free-trial terms are shown on that screen and in the App Store or Google Play before you confirm.
How do I manage or cancel Luvo Plus?
Manage or cancel anytime from your App Store or Google Play account settings (on iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Your Plus features stay active until the end of the current billing period. Deleting your Luvo account does not automatically cancel the subscription — see our Delete your account page.
Account and privacy
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account, or follow the steps on our Delete your account page. Your account is deactivated immediately and enters a 30-day grace period; after that your personal data is permanently deleted and can’t be recovered. If you change your mind during those 30 days, contact us at contact@elvarsystems.co.uk.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Email contact@elvarsystems.co.uk to request a data export. We’ll send you a downloadable file with all your personal data within 30 days.
How do I change my email?
Go to Settings → Account → Email. You’ll be sent a confirmation link to verify your new email address.
